Blue Mars (2010)
In this movie, the lowland areas of Mars are covered in a blue sea. Mars' two moons,
Phobos and Deimos, are seen transiting across the planet in that order. It is thought
that liquid water existed on Mars millions of years ago, but it is now too cold and
has too little atmospheric pressure to possess liquid water. It has been suggested
that the planet could be 'terraformed', or made more Earth-like, for human habitation
by centuries of climatic engineering.
