Journey to the Milky Way (2010)  In this animation, we initially view our Milky Way galaxy as just one of many others. We then zoom in at an impossible speed, approaching the majestic spiral from an oblique angle. The location of the Solar System is betrayed by the yellow dot towards the end of the clip. Practically every star you can see in the night sky is contained within this dot. The yellow line, meanwhile, is the Orion arm, which is our local spiral arm. Actually it's a minor arm, a fragment rather than a complete structure.
