Solar System Debris

A fragmented comet impacting a gas giant planet, inspired by Shoemaker-Levy-9 Death Plunge II (2000)
Back in 1994, the ill-fated comet Shoemaker-Levy-9, splintered by Jupiter's gravity into several pieces, finally plunged into that planet to meet a fiery doom. In this illustration, I show an early Saturn which may have suffered the same fate, the debris helping to build its ring system.
