I have always been inspired and awed by surrealism. Artists like Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher and Rene Magritte were my bread and butter when I was growing up. So it is not surprising that artists such as these have impacted on my artwork. The images in this section are among my earliest, so they are mostly done with traditional media – such as acrylic or oil pastel – in the days before I discovered digital art.
