Osiris-REx is a NASA probe launched in 2016, with a mission to collect samples from the asteroid 101955 Bennu. It rendezvoused in December 2018 and analyzed the asteroid for two years, while deciding upon a suitable site to extract a sample. The probe touched down on Bennu on 20 October 2023 and was successful in securing a sample, which it returned to Earth on 24 September 2023. It's subsequent study is expected to improve our understanding of the early Solar System.
